Proces recenzji eksperckiej
All scientific articles submitted for publication in Łódzkie Studia Humanistyczne undergo a double-blind peer review process, ensuring objectivity and adherence to academic standards.
Main stages of the review process:
Initial Evaluation
Upon submission, the editorial team conducts a preliminary assessment to verify the manuscript's compliance with the journal’s formal requirements, thematic relevance, and ethical standards. Submissions that do not meet these criteria may be rejected without external review.
Assignment of Reviewers
The manuscript is sent to two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant academic field. The double-blind review process ensures that neither the authors nor the reviewers are aware of each other's identities.
Review Assessment
Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on:
scientific novelty and relevance of the topic;
logical structure and clarity of argumentation;
validity and significance of conclusions;
quality of sources and scholarly referencing;
compliance with academic integrity principles.
Based on the assessment, reviewers provide one of the following recommendations:
accept for publication without changes;
accept after minor revisions;
revise and resubmit;
reject.
Final Decision
The final decision regarding publication is made by the editorial board, taking into account the reviewers’ recommendations and the overall quality of the submission.
Notification to the Author
The corresponding author receives an official notification with the editorial decision and, if applicable, reviewer comments for revision.
