ZARZĄDZANIE PAŃSTWEM JAKO ORGANIZACJĄ – GŁÓWNE ZAŁOŻENI

Abstrakt

The present article is part of a monograph being prepared by the author, devoted to state governance in the 21st century. Due to the nature of such publications, the article includes only the most essential issues concerning the characteristics of individuals and processes that are significant for the functioning of organizations and socio‑political structures. The leadership traits and the profile of individuals performing managerial roles in such organizations, as well as the analysis of the organizations themselves, constitute a kind of introduction to the subject that will be further developed in the aforementioned monograph. The article identifies and explains the basic definitions and processes related to organizational management, indicating the state merely as one type of organization. It also highlights the importance of the external environment of an organization and its impact on the organization’s activities. Furthermore, it outlines the personal qualities of individuals predisposed to leadership roles within an organization such as the state. Given the academic nature of both the monograph and the present article, the description of these issues relies on analytical models, referring, where appropriate, to specific individuals performing leadership roles in organizations
